Week 34!

Week 34 started on Friday, and I am getting so anxious. In the belly picture this week, I tried to get a shot to show the Linea Nigra, which is a line of pigmentation that occurs in most pregnancies. The sites I looked at don't list a cause of the pigmentation, but it usually goes away after you give birth. If you look closely, you can see my line, along with my popped out belly button. I have no stretch marks yet, except for around the hole where I had my belly button pierced. I think I got them there because the hole started to close up when I took my ring out, and at the same time my belly was growing. (Please excuse the fact that I have not showered yet in this photo)

So not much new in way of baby stuff these past few weeks. David Jr. is growing, growing, growing! At this point, he is about the weight of a cantaloupe, and could live with no complications if I went into labor right now. He is such an active baby so far, but during the day, which is a little unusual. Most babies are most active in the womb between 9 pm and 1 am. Little David's favorite time to get going is around 2 in the afternoon. Maybe he will continue the cycle outside of the belly, and sleep through the night sooner! I know, I know, unrealistic. But I could hope, right? Lol. The biggest complaint I have right now is being able to get comfortable. The baby loves to put his feet all the way up in my ribcage, which makes sitting difficult. When I wake up in the middle of the night and switch positions (which is pretty often), I have to slooooowly move. He gets settled in one area of my belly, and moving suddenly is pretty painful.

I get asked all the time how my baby room is coming. The answer - it is going no where. David and I are in the process of apartment shopping, and so it is useless to set anything up or start to get organized just yet. We do have a baby closet, which is where I have been storing all of the baby gear we acquire. We live on base right now, and we are not allowed to have pets in our housing area. With having 2 cats (we are cat sitting for 6 months for someone David works with), I would feel much more comfortable living somewhere that we don't have to hide them. Also, if I need to go to the store, I will have to bring the baby with me. I would love to be able to load him up in the stroller and walk to the grocery store or walmart. We found somewhere we really like, the only drawback is that they already come with a washer and dryer, and will not allow us to take theirs out and bring ours in. We will look at a few more places this week, and hopefully find something great.
Have a great week everyone!
