Baby David turned three months old today. He is developing new skills, and amazing me with his emerging personality. This past week has been busy, busy, busy...
SUNDAY - Strawberry Festival themed street fair. I didn't want to deal with parking, so DJ and I rode the train. He absolutely loved it. It is within walking distance, so we will be taking the train everywhere we can (Picture on right is of DJ on the train). We met some friends at the street fair, and had a great time walking around. I was able to borrow a friends Moby sling, and DJ loved being in it. It made me glad that I had ordered one the day before. It is scheduled to come in the mail tomorrow. I love to wear DJ, but I am so tired of the comments."Are you a kangaroo?" - Only if you are a polite gentleman. You aren't? I must not be a kangaroo."Is that a real baby?" - No, genius. I wear a fake baby so that I can get attention from strangers in public."That looks uncomfortable" - Well, Mr. Officer, if you hadn't just made someone get up so I could sit next to my stroller, I would call you an idiot."Wow. How does he fit in there?" - Probably the same way he fit in my stomach for nine months."Does he like that?" - Is he screaming/crying/moving? No? Well then I think he just might hate it.
TUESDAY - Crawl, Rattle n Roll class. DJ absolutely loved it. There is one baby who is 2 weeks younger than DJ, but most are at least 6 months. David Jr really enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror, rattling around toys, singing songs, and staring at the other babies and mommies. We will definitely be returning for as long as it is still financially feasible.
WEDNESDAY - Grocery shopping. Ugh. Double ugh that we had to go to the commissary.
THURSDAY - Took the train out to Oceanside to meet some friends at the beach for lunch. It was a beautiful day, and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Which brings us to today. 3 months.
As you can see, DJ is getting very good at gripping things. His favorite things are:
Staring at people
Mommy and Me class
Riding the train
Taking walks
Holding his toys
Playing airplane with his Mommy
The older DJ gets, the more he looks like David. I had suspicions that he would, based on the ears (lol) and eye color (blue with a hint of green around the irises). Time just keeps going. I wish I knew how to slow it down a bit. I feel like I might wake up tomorrow and DJ will be 6 months already!

But he will have a sweet baby book and blog in his name. All made by his loving mommy!
