35 Weeks

I am 35 weeks and 5 days along at this point. My weight is hovering around 155, up 22 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. Sabrina has dropped down into my pelvis, which is the main reason for my cranky mood and aching body. I had to buy an exercise ball to help ease the pain her head is creating. DJ is in love with the ball, and tries as often as possible to whisk it away to the kitchen where he can play.

I'm extremely emotional, peeing too often, waddling, can barely wear pants, am having contractions, and I have horrid heartburn. I'm 9 months pregnant, and feeling every bit of it. I never had this much trouble with DJ (I'm almost positive I didn't, I worked until 37 weeks). I miss curling up on the couch, wine, margaritas, sushi, pants that button, my old shirts, and drinking 3 cups of coffee a day.

Alright, I'm done complaining. I am extremely lucky to be having a healthy pregnancy. With 29 days left until my due date, the end is near. These minor annoyances will disappear and be replaced with a little, tiny baby. Hooray! As January approaches, I am left with the feeling that this new chapter in our lives is so close, yet so far away. We still have a few things to do to prepare for Sabrina's arrival. Stuff like purchasing a bassinet, buying diapers, getting more little pink clothes, and preparing DJ for life as a big brother.

This pregnancy has flown by. I find myself remembering back to this time last year, when David and I decided to start trying to add another member to our family. The anticipation each month was almost too much to handle, and the let down when I wasn't pregnant almost unbearable. It seems like the timing of Sabrina's arrival is perfect, however, and I find it amazing how life seems to work out that way.
