Pumpkin Patch-ing

Monday is here. It's raining, again. Mother Nature must be confused. This is Southern California. Not Seattle.

This past weekend, Hubby and I took DJ to the pumpkin patch at Bates Nut Farm. We got there just in time to avoid all traffic (score one for us). We had a great time!

Quick recap:
Baby David loved rolling around in the hay.
Hubby and DJ had a blast getting all the stamps throughout the hay maze.
DJ got to pick out his own pumpkin!
People made not-so-subtle comments about my baby wearing. Why is a wrap that much "weirder" than a carrier?
It was a bit wet.
We lost the car. But then found it.
Pumpkins were a bit overpriced. (David said specifically "If DJ picks out a Pumpkin, we WILL get that one for him. No matter the cost" Ha!)

Overall, we had a great time doing something I vaguely remember doing as a kid once or twice. Hopefully ,no matter where the Marine Corps sends us, we will be able to go Pumpkin Patch-ing every year!

Side note: Check out these nasty bruises!
These are DJ's first trying-to-walk-using-furniture battle wounds.
And certainly won't be the last.
Oh, little boys...

  1. I love that place!! It's so much fun to take the kids and see their faces when they discover new things. My kids really liked the Geese and chickens.
