Spring is here!

I love living in Southern California.

Today was a pretty toasty day. Unfortunately, I had to stay inside for most of the day cleaning. Yuck. But I did get a brand new vacuum cleaner last night. One that was not the cheapest on the shelf. I am in love with it. Isn't it silly how the little things can sometimes make us smile? You can totally tell I'm a bit of a neat freak when I say I am excited about my new vacuum cleaner

Anyway, tomorrow we have Messy Art Class. DJ seems to enjoy himself , but he definitely does not have the attention span the other toddlers do. He will do something for a short while, but mostly he dabbles here and there, then explores around to find something new to look at. Except for the water table. He loves to splash.

I'm hoping that DJ shows off his new walking skills tomorrow. I was a little worried about his walking the other day. I noticed that he just wasn't walking on his own any longer. In fact, he wasn't really even standing during play. I mentioned it to a trusted baby semi-expert, (I only say semi because I don't think anyone is really an expert. She comes close, though) and she said a little bit of a regression in skills is totally normal when there are big changes in a child's life, or if someone leaves or comes back. Bulls eye. David had left to the field for a little over a week.

But today, now that he is adjusted to daddy being home, DJ started taking off on his own. He chooses his paths carefully, walking between furniture or chairs. But he is walking by himself for 5 or 6 feet before he wobbles and falls down.

Hooray DJ!

Posts now will most likely come at night, seeing as how the days are so beautiful. I want to enjoy the sunshine rather than sit at the computer. I just love Spring!
