Last year.

This time last year, I was a single parent.
I had a 5 month old and a deployed Husband.

I made all the bottles alone.

Cooked dinner for only myself.

Bathed DJ each night on my own.

Slept alone in a bed meant for two.

I blogged about how my Husband listens to me, and loves me despite the distance between us.

This day a year ago, I got the window I had been waiting for. The week the Marine Corps estimated David would arrive home.

This trip down memory lane, brought to you by Facebook's new "On this day last year" feature, has been extremely emotional for me. Remembering the lonely nights, DJ's baby days, the excitement of a looming Homecoming... It has all been a bit overwhelming.

I have realized how much life can change in a year. I have a toddler. I'm 17 weeks pregnant. My Husband is home every night. We live in a new town. My friends are scattered around the world.

A year.

Such a short amount of time.

Yet so much can change.
