It's been a month?!

February 21 marked Sabrina's one month birthday. Who celebrates one month birthdays? Momma's who want to congratulate themselves on keeping both of their children alive despite functioning on very little food and sleep.

At one month, Sabrina:
  • Weighs more than 11 pounds, according to my scale.
  • Is in 0-3 month clothes.
  • Wears size 1 diapers, but is quickly approaching size 2.
  • Loves her wubbanub paci.
  • Is still exclusively breastfed. My goal is to take it month by month, then re-evaluate what method of feeding is best for our family. My ultimate goal would be to make it to 1 year.
  • Has had one bottle from Daddy. If I can find time to pump, I would love for David to do at least one feeding a day.
  • Is a very fussy, particular baby. Awesome.
  • Is on no schedule. This baby does what she wants, when she wants. Can you say Diva?! No, not really. She is just one month old! Too early for a schedule, still.
  • Loves tummy time.
The blog lately has been taken over by news of Sabrina, but DJ is still around, too! He has had a very eventful week. Last Thursday I took him to get blood drawn in preparation for his tongue tie release. It went about as well as drawing blood from a toddler can go, and as a reward he picked out a Lightning McQueen car. Tuesday was his actual procedure, which went amazingly! David was able to attend the surgery with us, which was a huge help. The nurses were fantastic, and DJ came out of anesthesia with no crying. Such a relief for me not to have a hysterical child. After we were cleared to head home, DJ drank a lot of water, ate goldfish and soft french fries, came home to take a nap, and woke up his normal crazy self. He has a few stitches that should dissolve on their own, and a tongue he can now stick out of his mouth. I'm looking forward to seeing a change in his speech, hopefully soon.

In other news, our move is a little over a month away. Eek! David snagged a special treat for DJ for the car ride - Portable DVD players that hook on the headrests of the front seats. Hopefully that will make the cross country drive a bit more enjoyable for an active toddler.

I'll leave you with a few pictures from the last week. Enjoy!

He is trying to reclaim all of his old baby things.

A little bit of crafty something.
