Day 1

Day 1: The person I like and why I like them.

My Husband. Duh.

Not only is he a hottie, but he is a great father and husband. He works his tush off to support our family and allow me to stay home with the kids. I couldn't love him more, or be more proud to call him my Husband!

So I guess the best way to get back into the swing of blogging regularly is just to jump in...

Maybe I will start off slow and talk about about a typical day with two kids. Sabrina and DJ are up anywhere from 0600-0700. Typically Sabrina is up first, begging to be fed. I do still exclusively nurse, so I grab her and snuggle in my bed to get her some breakfast. DJ wakes up soon after, and runs to my bed with whatever treasure he has acquired for the morning. Usually it is a car or truck, but past items have been aluminum foil, cookies, and a television remote. Then I turn on cartoons and we hang out for a bit.

When DJ starts hankering for breakfast, I put Sabrina in her exersaucer and make DJ whatever he desires for breakfast. This morning it was an apple, cheerios, and a hot dog. Then I make my coffee and piddle around a bit until Sabrina starts to fuss. Then we play on the floor until nap time, always 2 hours after she wakes up.

After Sabrina goes down for her nap, I put on a movie for DJ and sneak back to my computer. For an hour I drink coffee, chat with my friends online, play a game, blog, or do whatever I want. Then I shower, typically with DJ because he is a shower fanatic, and get ready for the day. When Sabrina gets up, she nurses and we run our errands for the day!

Typically David takes the car to work, which leaves us at the house with no vehicle. It's OK, because the post office, grocery store, laundromat, bank, subway, and beach are all within walking distance. I has been so hot lately that we try to stay inside as much as possible, but we do enjoy at least one walk every two days.

Sabrina will take another nap in the afternoon, and I spend that time cleaning or relaxing a bit. I find it very difficult to keep our house as clean as I would like. I just don't have the time. If I clean at night, I miss out on "me time", which I desperately need because I don't get days off or much time to myself. I play with DJ for a bit, as well, so he gets one on one time with me. I think it is important for him to know that he is still a priority!

When Sabrina gets up, she goes on the floor for some tummy time, and I clean up around the house, play with her, start dinner, etc. Then David comes home, we have dinner, and the kids get in bed around 7. I clean up dinner and the mess from the day, then crochet or play on my computer. I stay up until 11, when Sabrina has been getting up for a feeding since she started cutting teeth. Then it is bed time for me!
