Troops For Trees

Every year, wonderful companies and people donate hundreds of thousands of trees to Military families. Fed-Ex so kindly transports them to bases around the US, and families like mine get free Christmas Trees.

Growing up, I never had a real Christmas tree. So when I heard about this program last year, I was excited. Not only would it be mine and my husband's first Christmas together, but I could fulfill my life long wish of having a real tree! This year, I'm not sure if we could have afforded a nice, big tree like we have. Even if we would have bought a fake. I am so grateful that people have generous hearts, and DJ's first Christmas can be as amazing as I have hoped it will be.
