I finally think we have DJ's new nap schedule figured out. Which means great things for me! Like an episode of Bones and a hot cup of coffee.
I would like to add to the list of things I never thought I would appreciate so much:
Registration renewal for your vehicle through the mail. However, I would like to point out that it is $70 for 1 year in California, and $82 for 2 years in Virginia. Which is why one of our cars will always be registered in Virginia.
Today looks like a beautiful day. I'm hoping that we can get out of the house and do something. Maybe the playground. I would like to try out Woodward Park, but DJ is still crawling and I would rather not go to the park when there would be a ton of bigger kids running around. So maybe I will save that for Monday. I am so thankful for the weather here. The past week has been so wonderfully nice. I am dreading going to Kansas. I might be from Virginia where the winters are COLD, but these past few years in California have made me incompatible with temperatures below the 40's.
Recently, I read a great blog post about laundry, and the mess it can become. The blogger has 3 older children, and lamented about the fact that her laundry responsibilities have become somewhat ridiculous. I struggle to keep up with my laundry responsibilities with only 1 child. I had previously restricted myself to one load of laundry a day. That didn't work.
Sunday - David's cammies and pt gear
Monday - Jeans
Tuesday - Colors
Wednesday - Towels and kitchen stuff
Thursday - DJ's stuff
Friday - Darks
Saturday - Sheets and mattress protector
?? - Blanket from Bed
Obviously I needed an extra day. Plus there is always those few things that need to be washed and won't fit in the load, or the things like the Moby, shopping cart cover, park blanket, etc that need to be washed weekly, but never fit into any of the loads. Plus what about the days when I forget to do a load? Then things back up. Laundry is like a never-ending struggle. Laundry can NEVER be all the way done unless you are running around the house naked.
Anyway, I usually resort to taking a day to do as much laundry as I can manage. Then I procrastinate folding the clean stuff until I have no choice. Ugh. I am stressing out just thinking about laundry.
I need a cupcake.
Yay for cupcakes! Nice Post!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThe Party Girl cupcake I got from the mall was delicious. White velvet cake with purple cream cheese frosting. DJ enjoyed the frosting very much.
