I would like to think my blog is a place where I can be honest, and share my life. A place where I shouldn't be afraid to speak my mind, or tell other mommas about the parts of motherhood that are not very well publicized. So, as I am lacking any blogging motivation today, I am going to explore a few of the things I have thought about blogging but veto'd.
1. The effect birth control can have on a Momma who is still post-partum/has decided to have another baby. For some cruel reason, birth control causes pregnancy symptoms. Which is torture if you have decided to have a baby, but still have a month or so left on the depo shot. Add that to the fact that my body just feels different, I am struggling to focus on things other than the possibility of me being on the show "I didn't know I was pregnant". (Side note: I did take a test a few weeks ago to put my mind at rest. After being nauseous and ridiculously hungry and having achy boobs for three days, I was going crazy. Obviously, it was negative.)
2. The times when you just wish your child would shut up and go away. Not many Mommas want to admit this, but it happens. A LOT.
3. People so nonchalant about having babies. There are lots of women who want to be pregnant and are having trouble. Getting pregnant because you don't like using birth control methods is silly. And by no means an accident.
4. Other Mommas who judge me because of the way I parent my child. Yes, he drinks a small bit of milk every day. Yes, he is only 10 months old. No, I don't think he will suffer developmentally from it. He drinks plenty of formula a day. Actually, the only way I can get him to drink his formula is to mix it with milk! (Thank you Miss Amy and the Mommas in class for the support and advice.)
5. The people who think I am super Mom. I'm really not. I have a supportive husband who helps out a lot. I carve out time to do the things I want with my child, and I make sure to schedule time for myself to do things like blog. Just because I have a different parenting style than you, does not make you any less of a good Momma.
I like number 3! I am having a lot of issue with that one latly. Namely my sister who every other day is like I hope I am not pregnant! Or I still haven't started my period! Pregnancy is PREVENTABLE if you don't want children. Furthermore military or not you can usually get prevention methods for free, there is no excuse.
