Early mornings.

I have been up since 430 this morning. Yawn. I'm working on my second cup of coffee, and DJ has already gone down for a nap. I'm usually not a morning person, but driving home watching the sun rise over the mountains was gorgeous.

We get the best of both worlds, here. The sun rises over the mountains, and sets over the ocean. What great views! If things weren't so expensive here, Hubby and I would consider making CA out permanent home after he retires. But alas, our families are more important than nice scenery.

This week has so much to offer. I think that is a much better way to look at Monday's. DJ starts art class on Friday, and I'm hoping to set up a play date with a few other Mommas. I have stuffed mushrooms for dinner tonight. And, after DJ is in bed, I can whip out my sewing machine without Hubby complaining that he can't hear the television over the whir of the motor. I am working on a baby blanket for a friend. I love working in pink every once in a while!

I am also looking for a new book or series to read. Any suggestions? No one regularly comments, but I am slowly starting to blog hop, so maybe I will get some talkative readers.

Also, because I have decided to make my blog more public (branch out to other bloggers, not just family and friends), I have revisited OPSEC. Check out this post here about OPSEC, and PERSEC if you are not familiar with these terms. There is a fine line between sharing things that are happening with my life, and keeping my Husband and his fellow Marines safe, as well as my family. I will be working harder to make sure that what I post complies with all guidelines.

On a lighter note, Disney Junior is playing in the living room, and I can not express how much I detest "Timmy Time". Ugh. I mean, a show with only animal sounds and no words? I wouldn't be opposed to it if the animal sounds weren't so grating. DJ only watches TV in the mornings, mostly because I am trying to wake up, and need to drink a few sips of coffee before I dive in to playing with him. And it keeps him from screaming and clinging to my leg while I make coffee and pour his milk.

You just can't enjoy a good cup of coffee while your baby is screaming.
